AMERICAN BROWN ALE

Brown Ale is all about malt. A good brown ale should have plenty of malty complexity, with little hop character. An American Brown Ale is allowed more citrus hop character, but not over the top. I was inspired by a collaborative brew between Magic Rock and Dark Star called "Rock Star", and this is my interpretation. In particular I've included Crystal Rye malt to give it a spicy rye hit that I think is very appropriate for this beer style.
